FAQs
Do you accept insurance, and if so which insurance companies?
I accept: Aetna, Cigna, BCBS of Arizona, United Healthcare, Oscar, Oxford and Quest. If you intend to use insurance benefits, you will need to create an account in the Headway Client Portal so I can verify your insurance coverage. You can access my Headway profile here.
What is Headway and the Headway Client Portal?
Headway manages everything related to insurance and co-pay obligations to make things as easy as possible for you. Once you’ve entered your insurance information in the Headway Client Portal, Headway begins the verification of benefits process to make sure I’m in-network for you. You will be able see your cost per session ahead of time and you can check your benefits through the Headway Client Portal.
Do you offer Telehealth appointments?
Yes. I offer telehealth services on designated days. Any client can take advantage of telehealth sessions. Telehealth appointments have similar efficacy as in-person sessions with the added benefits of saving time and gas money.
Do you offer In-person appointments?
Currently, Inner eye Counseling is utilizing shared/sublet office space. Thus, in-person sessions are offered at two different locations in Tempe AZ. The in-person session location depends on the type of desired services and office availability. Please reach out for more details.
Can you see clients that live outside of Arizona?
No. Although I am licensed to practice in multiple states, Inner Eye Counseling LLC is only set up to practice out of Arizona at this time.
Do you treat children/minors?
No. I do not treat children or minors as I believe that is an area of specialty that I am not trained in. I only work with clients ages 18 and up.
How do I schedule my appointments?
Use the contact form below to send me a message about scheduling a complimentary 15-30 minute consultation. We can discuss potential scheduling options during this call. From there, once you’ve completed your intake paperwork through Simple Practice you will be able to view my calendar and request appointments online.
What is Simple Practice and the Simple Practice Client Portal?
Simple Practice is a web-based practice management portal for mental-health professionals. It includes the electronic health record (EHR), appointment scheduling, billing, and telehealth.
The Simple Practice Client Portal is available on desktop and as an application for iOS and Android. The Simple Practice Client Portal allows clients to request, cancel, or reschedule appointments; view billing history and make payments; complete and download paperwork, and sign forms and documents; send and receive messages with clinician; and receive reminders for appointments, invoices, and documents.
What if I can’t make it to my appointment?
Contact me ASAP when you know you need to cancel. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice the full session fee will be charged.
What if I need something between sessions?
If it’s not an emergency you can send me a message through your client portal or call or text me at 602-456-1421. I will typically get back to you within one business day.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
